Uniaxial Geogrids

Mirafi® Uniaxial Geogrids are made of high-strength woven polyester and a PVC coating, and are manufactured in roll form. This geogrid consists of a system of elements integrally connected by means of extrusion, ties or interlocking, whose openings are larger than the elements that form it. That is, they have large openings between the individual ribs in the transverse and longitudinal directions. The structure of uniaxial geogrids has tensile strength mainly in the longitudinal direction (MD machine direction).

Se emplean principalmente en reforzar la masa de suelo en los Muros Mecánicamente Estabilizados (MME, o por sus siglas en inglés MSE). En G&G®, además de comercializar una amplia variedad de geomallas uniaxiales con diferentes rangos de resistencias mecánicas a la tensión, realizamos el diseño de muros y cálculo de este tipo de sistemas de tierra armada.

Reinforcement

The geosynthetic increases the bearing capacity of the land, acts in conjunction with the structural soil to produce a compound or "geo-soil", which works under tension and improves the resistance and deformation properties of the soil.
