8 ″ IPS to 24 ″ OD (225mm - 630mm)

This muscular and versatile rig is designed to fuse 8 ″ IPS to 24 ″ OD (225mm-630mm) pipe. The MegaMc® 824 was the first machine of this size designed specifically for trench work and tight spaces with the flexibility of small diameter fusion machines. It is hydraulically actuated to aid in all fusion operations, including the operation of the jaws, tube lifters, heater and facer.

12 ″ IPS to 36 ″ OD (315mm - 900mm)

12 ″ IPS to 36 ″ OD (340mm - 900mm)

The McElroy MegaMc® 1236 Series 2 rig butt fuses pipe sizes from 12 "IPS to 36" OD (340mm to 900mm). On the ground or in the trench, MegaMc® 1236 brings the flexibility of smaller machines to large diameter fusion. The machine carriage features improved electrical and hydraulic connectors that are interchangeable with the TracStar® 630 and 900 Series 2 machines. This versatility allows operators to mount the carriage on a rolling or tracked vehicle. The MegaMc® 1236 Cart features 4-jaw, with a removable 3-jaw package for better accessibility in the trench. The heater and fairing can be loaded on top of the machine to maximize functionality in tighter spaces. MegaMc® 1236 Series 2 features hydraulically actuated assistance for all fusion operations, including operation of clamps, pipe lifters, heater and facer. The machine allows butt fusion of most accessories without special supports or removal of the outer jaw. Mitred inserts are available for fabrication of elbows.

16 ″ OD to 48 ″ OD (450mm - 1200mm)

The MegaMc® 1648 is a powerful machine with a single operator control system that butt fuses pipe and most accessories without special brackets or without removing the outer jaws. Hydraulic power assists all fusion functions, including complete operation of clamps, pipe lifters, heater, and facer. The Series 2 model has additional melting force and is capable of working in trenches with a removable 3- or 4-jaw carriage. Mitred inserts are available for fabrication of elbows. This machine is also DataLogger® compliant to ensure quality of work on the job site.

20 ″ OD to 65 ″ OD (450mm - 1200mm)

Manufactured to fuse the largest pipes together, the MegaMc® 2065 thermofusion equipment is increasingly used around the world as large diameter polyethylene pipe projects grow in all industries. Allows butt fusion of most accessories without special supports. Mitred inserts are available to fabricate elbows. McElroy's unique semi-automatic control system requires only one operator. Hydraulic power assists all fusion functions, including complete operation of clamps, pipe lifters, heater, and cutter.

20 ″ OD to 65 ″ OD (500mm - 1600mm)

The MegaMc® 1600 machine handles the largest pipe jobs with ease. This machine features 4 jaws and a powerful 30,000 pound clamping force hydraulic system to improve grip and pipe rounding. With an impressive 88,000-pound fusion force, operators will find they have additional force in reserve to overcome resistance. The MegaMc® 1600 machine allows butt fusion of most fittings without special brackets or removal of outer jaws and Mitred Inserts are available to fabricate elbows. Hydraulic power assists all fusion functions, including complete operation of clamps, pipe lifters, heater, and cutter.

20 ″ OD to 65 ″ OD (500mm - 1600mm)

The In-Ditch 1600 provides butt fusion capability for large diameter pipe, fitting and flange fusion jobs in very tight workspaces. The In-Ditch 1600 was designed as an ideal machine for joint fusion and a cost-effective alternative to electrofusion, which requires the purchase of additional accessories. The In-Ditch 1600 features a compact two-jaw cart with a top-loading heater and fairing for greater flexibility in confined areas. The cart has the same 30,000 pounds of clamping force per jaw as the MegaMc® 1600. With a maximum pressure range of 3,000 psi, the In-Ditch 1600 can fuse more than 15 ″ of exposed pipe, providing maximum versatility in tight spaces. with minimal excavation required. Ease of mobility is built into the machine with multiple lift points, a trolley spreader bar and a sliding trolley, all designed to fit within a small package. Roll bars protect the cart and hydraulic components when the machine is driven into the trench.

54 ″ OD to 78 ″ OD (1,400mm - 2,000mm)

The Talon Thermofusion Equipment™ 2000, McElroy's largest machine to date, offers a revolutionary new way of fusing large diameter thermoplastic pipe that is in increasing demand to replace old infrastructure and increase capacity for a variety of current applications. Heel™ 2000 is a self-propelled vehicle with the unique ability to safely lift pipe off the ground, position it to fuse, and move it from one fusion to another through the pipeline. It features a fast-acting cutter and electric indexer to accurately and safely position the heater and facer in the fusion machine. Team Talon's merger operations™ 2000 are controlled at a touchscreen operator station, which has been designed to mimic the controls on other McElroy hydraulic machines, creating a familiar, easy-to-follow interface.
