The TracStar 618 Series 2 Hot Melt Kit offers a self-propelled, self-propelled, track-mounted vehicle that can handle slopes of up to 30 percent. The TracStar® 618 Series 2 rig has been completely redesigned based on feedback coming straight from the field. The new machine now shares a common vehicle with the TracStars 28, 250 and 412 range and is powered by a powerful diesel engine, which is especially useful in workplaces where gasoline is not allowed. TracStar 618 Series 2 fusion machines feature an interchangeable 4-jaw carriage that can be easily removed for trench fusion. For tight installations, it can be converted to a 3-jaw carriage for an even more compact fusing unit. Series 2 machines feature a new design that helps dissipate heat, while providing easier access for machine maintenance. An updated electrical system increases circuit protection and a standard battery disconnect is now incorporated for easy lockout. Also available is the TracStar 618 Series 2 automatic that guides the operator through a step-by-step procedure for fusing the tubing. This option provides automated control over heating, heat absorption, melting, and cooling cycles.
