Building with sea sand has many benefits, as it is available in large quantities, reusable, easy to process, and inexpensive.
However, despite its many advantages as a building material, sea sand is not directly suitable for building. In addition to moisture, the sand particles are relatively large, so they do not tend to collect or adhere; they are considered a non-cohesive soil.
Geotube® Technology is a solution to this problem, since they encapsulate the sand and let the seawater escape, achieving cohesion of the sand inside a textile container to form a solid structure.
Geotube® units are tubular shaped textile containers, of different lengths and diameters, made to measure with high resistance geosynthetics, specially designed to withstand extreme environmental conditions.
